classic but also limited and exclusive sneakers. The sale is online
and through the local store. The family business has been managed
by the brothers Andy and Marco Biergen since its foundation.

- Use of the PIM/MDM and DAM system Pimcore
Control over data and channels
The amount of manual maintenance had to be significantly reduced.
The same applied to the import of image data and the comparison of
master data with the ERP system.

AFEW chose the Pimcore PIM and DAM solution and as implementation
partner twocream from Wuppertal.

Teamwork with ERP, Shopify and other old friends
Pimcore gets its data from the ERP system and was connected to the
online shop (Shopify) via API. The image import was solved via a
hotfolder function, where the allocation of the images is highly
automated. Not only product data is transferred to Shopify, but
also the content pages of the online shop receive their data from
Pimcore. Various product feeds are automatically extracted from
Pimcore in short time intervals and made available online. Finally,
the Afew team also controls the social media channels via Pimcore
based on the Pimcore product data.

The online sale of sneakers thrives on the pictures. Particularly
with special, rare models, customers want to see the product as
good as possible. This is where Pimcore's DAM module with its
automated processes shows its strengths for the processing of
images in large numbers.
In Pimcore, the new information base of AFEW, all information can be found. Therefore Pimcore as a PIM-/DAM-system has an essential role in the system architecture.
